It is a type of Manta Ray, probably Smoothtail mobula, and this type of behavior is known as breaching. It is not yet fully known why they do this, but theories suggest its a form of communication, play or an attempt at finding a mate. More info on this species here Edit: They be Eagle Rays, not Manta. Thanks 'Satanspublicdefender' for the correction. However, they are in the same family as Manta's.
