Having saved a cat stuck on a tree just today, I'm seriously beginning to wonder how they survived as a species for millenia.
Have you ever lived on a block with an unspayed cat?
stupid sexy cats.
They get down when they get hungry. Ever seen a cat skeleton in a tree?
This is what my dad told me when I called him freaking out about my cats being "stuck" in a tree. About 5 hours later, they both came down, completely unassisted. One of them was stuck over 50 feet in the tree, hit the ground with a plop, and walked away. I thought he'd for sure hurt himself or SOMETHING, but he was 100% fine. Having had this experience, I now wonder if the majority of cat in tree savers are just overzealous
Cats have a non-fatal terminal velocity as long as they land on their feet.
House cats originated from desert animals, and there probably weren't too many trees there for them to worry about. So in the scope of an evolutionary timeframe, trees are a fairly recent challenge for them.
You're just a renaissance man aren't you? All your obscure knowledge and funny jokes have redditors wet, including myself.
Doors are an even more recent challenge for cats. Although one of mine as figured out how to open the sliding ones, and the cabinet doors.
But opening a door or attempting to do so most likely imparts no fear of death to the cat.
