The second promotional video for The Severing Crime Edge (Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge) was streamed by anime production company Pony Canyon.

The anime is based on the manga by Tatsuhiko Hikagi. Kiri Haimura (Natsuki Hanae) is a boy passionate about cutting girls’ hair. One day he happens to meet Iwai Mushanokoji, a girl with long, beautiful hair otherwise known as the “Queen of Hair.” Iwai Mushanokoji has been cursed so that her hair is forever uncuttable, but Kiri has a pair of scissors that have the ability to cut her hair – the “Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge.” Suddenly Kiri finds himself protecting Iwai from others holding the “Killing Goods” of past murderers.

The anime will be produced by Yuji Yamaguchi (Fate/stay night) at Studio Gokumi. Katsuzo Hirata (Angel Beats!) will be in charge of character designs, while Tatsuhiko Urahata (Monster, Saki) will be in charge of scripts.

The series will premiere on Tokyo MX on April 3rd.
