Capcom announces Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara
Capcom has revealed the upcoming release of Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara at PAX East on March 22nd. The game is an HD remastered collection of both Dungeons and Dragons: Tower of Doom and Dungeons and Dragons: Shadow over Mystara. The two games were originally released in 1999 for the Sega Saturn in Japan only, and so will be a first for most gamers in the US.
The Chronicles of Mystara will feature drop-in/drop-out online gameplay supporting up to four players, with customizable “house rules” available for each game. Players can complete certain objectives in order to level up or earn coins, which can be then used to unlock character art and additional features. A new feature called the Character Visualizer will let players know what characters are being used more frequently, encouraging experimentation with new characters. Of course, all of these features will be available in HD graphics.
