The Flowers of Evil anime voice cast updated

The Flowers of Evil anime official website has updated their cast list with additional members.

 

The new list includes:

Ayako Uemura as Ai Kinoshita

Katsutoshi Matsuzaki as Yamada

Sayuri Hara as Mayu

Shinya Hamazoe as Kojima

 

The series will be directed by Hiroshi Nagahama (Mushishi, Detroit Metal City) at the studio ZEXCS. The character designs will be adapted by Hidekazu Shimamura (Nodame Cantabile, Detroit Metal City), and Aki Itami (Mushishi, Prince Mackaroo) will be the scriptwriter and script supervisor.

 

 

The story is a “corrupt pure-love story” based on the manga Aku no Hana (The Flowers of Evil) by Shuzo Oshimi. Takao Kasuga (Shinichiro Ueda) is a bookish boy who likes the poems of Charles Baudelaire, the author of the poetry collection Les Fleurs du mal (Flowers of Evil). He has a crush on classmate Nanako Saeki (Yoko Hikasa), and one day he steals her gym clothes. However, Sawa Nakamura (Mariya Ise), a girl he dislikes, discovers his theft and blackmails him.

 

The series will premiere in Japan on April 6th.
