Some new visuals were released for the upcoming Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet. The sci-fi anime will air on Tokyo MX starting April 7th.

The anime follows the young galactic alliance lieutenant Red (Kaito Ishikawa) as he and his humanoid mobile weapon are swallowed up into a space/time distortion during a battle. When he awakens, he realizes that he has arrived on the long-lost planet Earth, flooded by the seas ages ago. People on Earth now live in giant fleets of ships as they salvage relics in order to survive. Red must live alongside Any (Hisako Kanemoto) and the other residents of the city fleet Gargantia, learning the history and culture of the peaceful people.
