Gadget Anime Review “Vividred Operation”

In the near future, the creation of the “Manifestation Engine” on the artificial Blue Island has provided an unlimited energy source and brought peace to the world. Nearby on Izu Oshima island, Akane lives with her sister and grandfather, an inventor. Suddenly their peaceful lives are shattered by the attack of the Alone, a mysterious enemy force. Akane uses her grandfather’s invention, a red Pallet Suit, to face this threat!

I had heard that this was getting good reviews! It seems like the setting is a near-future Japan, but their real objective looks like the lolis in gym shorts!! If I were into that I would have been in trouble… and instead of a slice-of-life countryside anime, this is a robot fighting anime? Almost a magical girls setting, but more along the lines of an artificial science girl? There was a giant enemy robot invading in the first episode, but the plot still has some mysteries! The vivid system transformation scenes are well done though!!

The art is very high quality and very polished. Especially in the attachment and commitment to the ass region. As expected from the director of Strike Witches. Thank you. I couldn’t help but applaud when the sun rose between the thighs of the girl standing on the tower overlooking the ocean. The story is also full of common themes, easy to follow and get into. Apparently the girls will be “docking” in the next episode, so I will have to watch it. Docking? What is docking?

I first noticed the gym shorts…and as expected, the director is Kazuhiro Takamura. The plot is centered on the heroines, who are “magical girls” of a sort that use advanced technology to transform and fight mysterious enemies after a new energy source. The “relative who invents world-saving technology” is the classic robot anime plot from works such as Mazinger and Tetsujin 28-go, while the cute animal mascot who guides the girls is a similar classic plot point from magical girl anime. This anime seems to take the best from both worlds. With cute characters and cool mecha-like designs, what isn’t to like? With the 2nd episode titled “docking,” I can see that the creators really understand their audience. I hope that the Alone will be more developed as well.

The best ass anime for this season. Starting with the sunrise in the OP sequence, the effort put into the art is several steps beyond any of the other anime. Of course, this anime has more to offer than exquisitely drawn behinds. A technology-powered transforming girl, with her inventor-turned-stuffed animal grandfather. It seems the grandfather’s soul got transferred, but I laughed at their treatment of his original body. If ass, yuri, and/or fighting interest you, then you should take a look at this anime.
