The Noitamina version of Kick Ass? Samurai Flamenco gadget anime review [6.8/10]
Samurai Flamenco – Gadget Anime Review
Masayoshi Hazama: a man who has become a superhero “by himself” with no superhuman powers or any sort of high-tech conversions, NONE!! Hidenori Goto: a cop who found out the true identity of “the superhero” by a strange twist of fate and thus constantly gets in trouble thanks to Hazama, the superhero. This is the story of the birth of a true hero featuring these two young men with a touch of comedy and serious drama, while they come face to face with hardships as they search for the true meaning of becoming a hero of justice in this world!

I know! I’ll become a hero! 10
A story about an absorbed, wealthy, male model who looks up to and loves tokusatsu Heroes. The serious cop voiced by Tomokazu Sugita really reminds me of Kyon. I liked the sort-of Doraemon music that played when they were eating curry. Curry is tasty. When Samurai Flamenco was getting beat up, the middle schoolers were filming the whole event – there would probably be a giant uproar about it if it were uploaded. He seems to be physically fit, so I’m guessing he will end up doing rather well. I’d like to see the full version of the Harakiri Sunshine in an OVA though!

Kick Ass 10
Is it OK to be doing an anime version of Kick Ass so openly? There is also a bit of Batman in how he ends up being a criminal himself, and the art is similar to Tiger and Bunny. I enjoyed both Batman and Kick Ass, so the story was a lot of fun for me. Its hard to tell so far if the story will become more comedic or if an evil organization will appear, so I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes.
Not quite there 8
There’s this movie called Kick Ass…well, whatever. A model dresses up in cosplay and tries to be a hero. He starts lecturing a group of delinquents at the park, but gets beat up instead. The Harakiri Sunshine show seems more interesting than the actual show. The anime seems like it will just settle down with small lectures, and might be popular with older viewers.
I still look up to heroes 10
The story starts off with a naked guy in an alleyway claiming to be a hero!! Our hero ends up taking on small time criminals and those who are just inconsiderate. The other main character is a jaded cop who doesn’t seem to enthusiastic. It seems like a Tiger and Bunny without the powers. The hero ends up losing to a drunk office worker…Overall, the anime is well made and is good quality. How will the story develop? The female characters in the ending sequence haven’t made an appearance yet!!
Now I want Curry 10
I was interested in this anime as the director is Tomohiro Omori, who has taken part in anime such as Natsume Yuujin Cho and Durarara, while character designs were created by Chihana Kurahana, the character designer for Uta no Prince Sama! Originally I had expected this to be about a cool looking superhero with awesome powers…but he’s weak! And fighting small time delinquents! Rather than a worldly sense of Justice, this is more about everyday morals…I guess it’s like a Japanese Anime version of Kick Ass? The main character is a huge hero fan, and works well in combination with the serious cop character. I’m looking forward to how the story will develop!
I watch a lot of anime that is popular online.

From old to new, I’m watching all kinds of anime. Robot, special powers, love, slice-of-life, I will eat anything! My favorites are “Saint Seiya,” “Penguindrum,” and “Pani Poni dash!”
I’m an anime otaku gangster hiding in the dark and damp corners of the industry and doing my thing!
I love anime from the 90s and 00s, voice actors, and idol units. I haven’t watched anime recently so I’m easing my way back in.
