Kill La Kill – Gadget Anime Review

Ryuko Matoi is a vagrant schoolgirl searching for the ‘woman with the scissor blade,’ her father’s killer. When she arrives at Honnouji Academy she finds students wearing Goku Uniforms, which give the wearers superhuman abilites. Student Council President Satsuki Kiryuin uses these uniforms to rule the school with an iron fist. Satsuki seems to know more about the scissor blade, but will Ryuko be able to find out more?

Kill La Kill, the anime that everyone expected to do well since it was made by the creators of Gurren Lagan…It’s cut its way above our expectations! You can tell that the cast and staff are going full throttle here, and the anime is like a massive tornado! You can’t pull your eyes away from the intensity! The serious, silly, and deformed parts are all intense and great! Watching this made me feel like I was waiting for this show to air!! I think that this is the anime to watch this season!

Less than a minute in, you can tell that this is going to be amazing, and 5 minutes in your body is ready. The cool parts are cool, the cute parts are cute and funny, and its definitely worth watching. I really enjoyed the previous Trigger anime ‘Little Witch Academia,’ but this anime surpassed that enjoyment in the 30 minutes I was watching. There are lots of small jokes hidden in the intense parts that are fun to watch out for. This is a high quality show that pays attention to the small parts so you can watch it multiple times and still enjoy it.

This is it. That’s really all that can be written…this is it. It’s a crazy mix of Kazuhiko Shimamoto and Gou Nagai that’s just crazy enough. It told me what I was missing, then gave it to me. There is a speed about it that hasn’t been seen recently, and tells a story that would take 3 episodes in 1 episode without leaving anything out. I don’t know if those in their teens will get it, but anyone who lived through the anime of the 90s will definitely enjoy this. From Ami Koshimizu on, the voice casting staff does a great job with the performance. You might not like this anime if you don’t like “movement,” “eros,” or “cool.” If you don’t like those, don’t watch anime. Leave.

Fun from the first episode! It builds up naturally, and the voice actors are passionate about the performance. The cuts and the language are amusing, and this is going to be one of the popular anime this season. I had really high expectations since production was by the Gurren Lagan staff, but I could easily imagine the smug faces of the staff as they challenged and surpassed my expectations. Just try watching it!

Ryuko and Mako are so cuuuuuteee!! Ryuko is soooo cuuuuuteeeee!!! Phew, got that out of my system.

This is a great anime that you can just watch on feeling alone! An original anime from the staff members who created Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt! With Kazuki Nakajima on script, this anime is perfectly to my liking. Each character is unique, and I’m looking forward to the rest.

It’s intense! Just intense! Transfer students, revenge for your father’s death, student council elite four, talking clothes, bloody battles, a little bit of fanservice…it’s like a crazy mashup of 80’s anime packed into one episode. It’s intense, but doesn’t take itself seriously, making it easy to watch and enjoy.

There were a lot of cliches thrown in, so I’m looking forward to how the story will develop! The lines were reminiscent of cell shading, and it was really cool! The voice acting was very solid and intense as well.

I watch a lot of anime that is popular online.

From old to new, I’m watching all kinds of anime. Robot, special powers, love, slice-of-life, I will eat anything! My favorites are “Saint Seiya,” “Penguindrum,” and “Pani Poni dash!”

I check the voice actors before the director or script. If any voice actor I like is part of it, I will watch the anime to the end no matter what…

I love anime from the 90s and 00s, voice actors, and idol units. I haven’t watched anime recently so I’m easing my way back in.
